Form 1098-T

1098-T Tuition Statement

As an eligible educational institution, É«¿Ø´«Ã½ is required by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to file Form 1098-T Tuition Statement annually for each student for whom a reportable transaction is made (payments toward qualified tuition and related expenses, and any scholarships or grants received). This information is provided to assist taxpayers in determining eligibility for claiming Education Tax Credits or Deductions enacted by the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997.

Qualifying for 1098-T

The 1098-T Tuition Statement is provided to each student who paid qualified tuition and related expenses during the previous calendar year. It includes financial information, such as, scholarships received, and payments made.

If you made no payments during the calendar year, you would not receive a 1098-T (for example, students who received scholarships and grants equal to or greater than qualified tuition and related expenses).
