The Salon is a new initiative to foster thoughtful conversations and connections across the university about contemplative practice and holistic wellness. This unique invitation provides a space for students, staff, and faculty to come together and explore contemplative practices, including meditation, poetic reflection, and deep listening. We hope to discuss and engage in practices that can be applied inside and outside of the classroom. If you are seeking to create community with others who share values and questions related to grounding in the midst of chaos, reflection, and making meaning, you are welcome here! Whatever lens you're coming from, whether it's academic, creative, personal, or something else altogether, we'll meet each other there. Co-sponsored by Searle Center, Center for Student Advocay & Wellness (CSAW), and the Department of Black Studies
